We have installed hundreds of meters in the Scotch Whisky industry to measure spirit / whisky volumes.

The meters are used in cask filling, vat to vat transfer, or tanker loading / unloading.

ALL of our metering installations have received Custom and Excise approval as meeting their accuracy requirements.

• Caramel

Caramel is added to whisky to achieve a uniform colour. Meters used with batch controllers allow the accurate addition of caramel to achieve uniform colour.

• Strength reduction.

Depending on the stage in the process, Spirit often has to be reduced in strenght ( % Alcohol)

This is achieved by adding a precise quantity of (reduction) water to the spirit. Accurate metering is esential for this duty.
